We had planned a five night trip but the smoke and fire situation had us trim our trip by two nights. Still a super awesome trip, thanks Bill. We had about half the time very clear conditions and otherwise fair to poor visibility and air quality. First and third nights I hammock camped without a tarp, under the stars and it was wonderful. Bill brought directions for setup of his hammock and they were different from my method. Counterintuitively the foot end of the hammock wants to be higher by about 12-16" then the head. This promoted a flatter lay. Lesson learned!
Bagged Graves Peak. And I thought my peak bagging day were behind me. Nice. We found a laminated card in the lookout. Interersting.
