Writing on thin air
A blog post about nothing.
Time is a non-thing. It has no substance nor materiality. We forget that it is always now, and this now manifests as the whole universe.
Time manifesting as the whole universe is what makes silence precious. Dogen's fascial "Uji" Time Being, Pai-chang's fox and John Cage's Lecture on Nothing [^1] all hint at this.
"There is too much there there." There is not enough of nothing in it. John Cage [^1]
Inversely, there is not enough nothing there for there to be a there there. The more nothing, the more there there. The more of anything is a distraction, subtraction from the there there.
Nothing has been said, and I think I'll continue.
There is a lot to say about nothing.
We are having a conversation about nothing, and thankfully it is going nowhere.
If the talking went somewhere, it wouldn't be about nothing.
When I open my mouth to say something about nothing, silence comes out.
I have said more about nothing.
I hope this wasn't a mistake and you though I intended to go somewhere.

This post is meant to help us renew our commitment to caring for the world and remind our future selves to be fractionally better than before. This post points to where I want to work on my mental fitness and ‘adulting.’. It is a reminder to operate in the world with love and compassion and includes tips put together in moments of clarity to help when caught up in the world’s uncontrollable chaos.
