This book is rocket fuel to learning. Science based and clearly explained. The best "chunk" I got from this book was in a way not related to learning per se. It has lead me to explore other books on math and poetry. Math formulas are an expression of poetry. Mathematicians express ideas with formulas similarly to poets expressing ideas with words in a poem. Math formulas express ideas and we can feel them like a poet gets to a feeling brought expression of words. This is a way into a formula, a way of feeling the bodily expressions of the symbols of a formula the same way we experience the bodily expressions of the words of a poem. Both use an embodied experience.

This is the difference between someone who is a mathematician and someone who is not. They feel math as poetry.
